U.S. Do Not Call Registry Accuracy

The “Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007 Report to congress: regarding the Accuracy of the Do Not Call Registry” was just released a few days ago.
I found the following excerpt interesting…

“The NDA data feed contains data from over 2,600 different telephone companies representing 99.97% of the land lines in the U.S. Phone companies are also required to update their directory assistance data within a very short period (often within 24 hours). Updates of approximately one to two million records are received daily. The complete up-to-date directory assistance database contains over 120 million current listings and more than one billion historical listings dating back to 2002.”

1 – 2 million record updates each day!
