I thought it was pretty silly to read over the past few weeks that President Obama was being pressured to give up his Blackberry because of security reasons. If information security controls are properly implemented, then there is no reason that the president of the U.S., or any other person for that matter, should not use a smartphone!
I was happy to see the following article published by CNN…

Information technology CAN be built securely. The problems are…
* too many technology vendors do not take the time or effort to do so,
* too few technology users know anything about how to secure their computing devices
* too few companies provide training or awareness communications about information security and privacy to their personnel
It is good to see the leader of the U.S. setting a good example for information security!
