Last week I participated in an interesting discussion on the Security Catalyst site about using web bugs within an organization. I pointed Cutaway to a paper I wrote a couple of years ago, “Quit Bugging Me!”
Cutaway then wrote an insightful post on his blog about some more issues around using web bugs, including some nice finds and legal references about web bug use in Texas law.
Now I am thinking of bugs again! 🙂
So, I have put on my to-do list to do some more research in the coming months and write an update to my article to look into how web bugs are now being used differently than they were two years ago.
As in nature, bugs can be good or bad.
How are you using web bugs within your organization? Are you being a deer tick (bad) or a honey bee (good)?
