According to a new Cisco study:
- 20% of German employees allow non-employees to roam around offices unsupervised.
- 18% of employees worldwide have allowed unknown individuals to tailgate behind employees into corporate facilities.
- 24% of employees worldwide admitted verbally sharing sensitive information to non-employees, such as friends, family, and even strangers.
- 22% of employees carry corporate data on portable storage devices outside of the office.
Organizations must provide more training and ongoing awareness communications to lessen the insider threat!
