I just saw on CNN that U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales just resigned today.
In the past several months Gonzales has been under the microscope for many things, including setting up a wide range of surveillance on the communications of an undetermined, but believed to be quite large, number of people over the past few years.
It will be interesting to see who replaces Gonzales as Attorney General, and whether he or she will support privacy protections, or continue on with the covert surveillance practices.
