Since I’m talking about “The Anatomy of a Privacy Breach” at Berkeley today, I thought it would be timely to point out a great resource that details the very many privacy breaches that occur within colleges and universities.
Adam Dodge created a very valuable resource, “Educational Security Incidents (ESI): Year in Review 2007.”
Look here to find out the many breaches that have occurred within higher education, along with details of incidents that you will be able to learn from to help prevent similar incidents within your organization, even if you are in a different industry than education.
Wouldn’t it be great if each industry maintained a comprehensive compilation of information security incidents and privacy breaches such as this?
