Carnegie Mellon’s CyLab Is A Great Resource

I was very happy to be invited to Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to speak about information security and privacy convergence last month at their CyLab research and education center. It was a great experience!

I have since learned that CyLab has a new blog, CyBlog, that I recommend information security, privacy, IT and legal folks responsible for data protection legal opinions check out.
It contains information about the latest research from CMU’s CyLab, along with some forward-thinking insights to a wide variety of information security and privacy issues.
Richard Power, Cylab Distinguished Fellow and an internationally recognized expert in the areas of Security, Intelligence and Risk, manages the blog and provides compelling information about current information security and privacy issues.
CyLab also is building a library of interesting and informative videos; many of which they are posting to YouTube in addition to on their site.
You can find out more about the work of CyLab in their informational video here.
There are currently 40 corporations partnering with CyLab on research to make sure their research projects will be valuable to a wide range of businesses. One of CyLab’s missions is to work on cyber problems that are not being worked on by anyone else.
